FM: meat from Brazil is inspected at the Hungarian border posts
Bognár Lajos Chief veterinarian ordered the increased testing of meat products coming from Brazil, after the Brazilian authorities have revealed serious irregularities at the largest meat processing companies of the country – the Ministry of Agriculture (FM) told MTI on Friday.
The ministry added that only two shipments arrived to Hungary directly from Brazil in the last two years – processed bovine offal intended for human consumption – but not from the meat processors concerned. (MTI)
