ALDI Magyarország is committed to continuously improving its efficiency, while ensuring lasting low prices and high quality for its customers.

ALDI pays special attention to minimising food waste. The retailer optimises its inventory management by thorough quantity planning in both its central warehouse and stores, at the same time developing its IT systems for efficient product management. In ALDI stores fresh baked goods are made in accordance with daily demand, minimising waste. Marked Deal of the Day, shoppers can purchase the previous day’s bakery items in bags with a 50% discount until noon the following day.

In 2024, ALDI donated more than 1,430 tons of food to families in need with the support of the Food Bank

What remains isn’t wasted either: since 2016 ALDI has been working closely with the Hungarian Food Bank Association. In 2024 ALDI donated more than 1,430 tonnes of food to disadvantaged families through the Food Bank. An additional 74 tonnes of products were delivered from the central warehouse for the same purpose. ALDI also helps those in need with non-food products: this year the discounter has already donated 189 pallets of goods to the Hungarian Red Cross and the Food Bank.(x)
