Making the world’s food systems sustainable is not only important for the FAO, but it is also in line with Hungarian national interests. Bencsik Dávid, Deputy Secretary of State for International Relations of the Ministry of Agriculture, discussed this topic with Vladimir Rahmanyin, Deputy Director General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations via a video conference – the Ministry of Agriculture told MTI on Tuesday.

According to the statement, the parties emphasized that through FAO-Hungary cooperation we can get closer to sustainable agriculture and food. Hungary has been home to the FAO Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia and its Global Service Center for a decade. In addition, it actively helps to achieve sustainability goals year after year through an agricultural scholarship program and professional support for the work of the organization. (MTI)
