This is what Hungarians eat when they go on a road trip by car
94% of Hungarians tend to eat food while traveling, and the most important aspects when choosing it are practicality, price and quality – a recent national survey by OMV Hungária, which was completed by nearly 13,000 people, showed.
Based on the results, we most often eat sandwiches on the go: three-quarters of respondents eat packaged or fresh sandwiches when they go on the road, followed by sweets (45%) and sweet pastries (42%), such as croissants, cocoa snails or cottage cheese bags .
It is interesting that when traveling, food bought at a gas station is just as popular as meals brought from home: 64% of those filling up buy snacks at the filling station, and 63% also prepare a snack package at home. Most people use these while traveling
