We spent 1 trillion HUF in foreign webshops
There may be 14,468 Hungarian webshops, according to an MNB data. In 2020, we bought them 113 million times and spent more than 1.5 trillion forints on them. But we also spent nearly 1 trillion forints in foreign webshops. One in 10 traditional stores has a webshop. More data on the number of sales outlets in the webshop have been revealed in recent times, but these were estimates and data deduced. At the same time, the MNB keeps a record of the internet card acceptor locations on the basis of the payment method. This data can best cover internet stores and service locations.
