These are popular hot drinks on cold winter evenings
As the days get colder and shorter, most people can’t wait to get home after a long day of driving, and when the rain comes, that desire increases even more. Many people have a lot of work to do at home, and there is rarely an opportunity for real relaxation. At this time, everyone deserves a little pampering, for which we have just brought you some drinks that pleasantly warm both the body and the soul, and you don’t have to worry much about making them either!
Fruit and honey tea
Let’s start with the simplest drink, which is nothing more than a simple black tea, made crazy with our favorite fruits. The base can be any black tea that you have at home, and when it is ready, you have to add honey and a few drops of your favorite fruit juice. If it is fresh fruit available, then in addition to the taste, we can also enhance the appearance, for example by placing a few orange slices in the cup, but – since nothing is mandatory in this case, and we do everything to brighten up a cloudy day – even with our favorite canned fruit juice we can experiment. In addition, you can also experiment with spices, the aforementioned orange makes a very good pair with a pinch of cinnamon, but it might also be worth a try with cloves, ginger and cardamom.
Homemade hot chocolate
The base is a pair of 3 dl milk and 100 grams of chocolate – for a more intense taste, we recommend dark chocolate, but here it’s also a matter of taste, so you can start with milk or even white chocolate. Heat the milk, stirring constantly, until the chocolate is completely dissolved in it. Then we add 2 dl of whipped cream and continue to heat, but at this point the stove has been turned down, and then we fill it – preferably into our favorite mug – before it boils. In this case, cinnamon can also be found from the spice rack, but everyone probably puts the crown on top of the work with a large portion of whipped cream in their imagination. Let it be so in reality, and if we want, we can of course go even further! We can make the taste experience even more perfect with various toppings – these can be dressings or sprinkles, or even combinations of these, and even the explosive candy can shine in a more important secondary role.
Ginger-lemon tea
Although ginger is known to be effective in combating colds and sore throats that regularly occur during the winter, it was not included in this list primarily because of this, but because its special taste makes it worth thinking about more than just its healing effects. For delicious, hot tea, we will need 25 grams of ginger, which we can peel, but a more thorough wash is also completely sufficient preparation. Then grate it and boil this fresh grate in 6 dl of water. After boiling, continue to cook on a low heat for approximately 20 minutes, and then there is nothing left to do but flavoring – for this you can use the well-proven honey and, of course, lemon. And although we might be afraid that it will become boring, we will mention cinnamon again, since it absolutely stands its ground in this composition as well.
For a more relaxed, cozy evening, you can also choose a small snack, but we will not provide a recipe for this, since the point is to spend as little time as possible in the kitchen and as much as possible on the sofa or armchair, wrapped in our warmest blanket. Instead, we recommend the various chocolates and nibbles, of which you can find a wide selection in Mixit’s offer.
