A 17-billion-forint annual market
Mayonnaise, ketchup and mustard generated a HUF 17-billion combined turnover in the December 2013 – November 2014 period. Value sales improved 4 percent from the base period. Mayonnaise sales valued at HUF 7 billion (both value and volume sales were up 4 percent), the 401-2,500m² channel’s share was 39 percent in value. Manufacturer brands realised 70 percent of sales. Ketchup sales were worth HUF 5 billion (value sales were up 5 percent, volume sales rose 3 percent), stores with a floor space above 2,500m² had a 40-percent value share from sales. Manufacturer brands’ share was 71 percent. Mustard sales represented a HUF 4-billion (value sales improved by 4 percent and volume sales bettered by 5 percent) and stores bigger than 400m² were responsible for 70 percent of sales. Manufacturer brands’ share was 75 percent.
