This time the award went to Zoltán Erhardt, owner of Erhardt Restaurant, Guesthouse and Artisan Bakery in Sopron. The cuisine of Erhardt Restaurant is characterised by regional flavours and popular Hungarian dishes prepared according to traditional recipes, but using modern kitchen technology.
The products of the region’s farmers – jams, syrups, wines, cheese and more – aren’t only featured on the menu, but are also sold in Sopron’s first artisan bakery.
Mr Erhardt is motivated by his love and dedication to the profession, and is a constant participant in national culinary festivals.
The 18-room family-run guesthouse is located in the heart of Sopron’s former Poncichter district. //
