European Food program – soon to be launched in Hungary: Promoting well-being through healthy and sustainable nutrition
The European FOOD (Fighting Obesity through Offer and Demand) program, coordinated by the Edenred Group, aims to promote healthier eating in the workplace through various initiatives.
Key principles: • Promote healthy eating habits during the working day. • Two complementary target groups: workers and commercial restaurants. • Free programme. • Proposed to any company. • Edenred/Ticket Restaurant® is used as the main communication channel to reach the target groups.
The coordination and structure of the FOOD programme also enabled to propose a new definition of a public private partnership (PPP) were all partners collaborate towards a common goal.
Every year, the Edenred FOOD survey analyzes employees’ habits and what restaurant owners offer on their lunch menu. Today, the FOOD barometers are the sole source of healthy eating habits during the working day in Europe.
Edenred plans to introduce the program in Hungary in 2021, in order to contribute to the fight against obesity in Hungary as well. (x)
