Different bargaining positions in the food industry

The domestic food companies were not prepared for the EU's competition, the high charges, only further increase their vulnerability in competition – said Éder Tamás, President of the National Food Processors Association (ÉFOSZ).

Éder – who is also one of the first man of the Csányi empire – knows a number of reasons for the declbne of the Hungarian food industry, in the past 20 years. According to him; the agricultural policy was agriculture-oriented and there was not strategic reasoning in the sector. The domestic food industry – containing many small-and medium-sized enterprises – is very sensitive to the economic burden system and the advantages or disadvantages of the monetary and fiscal policy – reports Index.
