The Wolt Awards ceremony was held for the first time – the most popular SME partners received recognition in 16 categories

The first-ever Wolt Awards ceremony took place on April 9 at the Embassy of Finland, where the most outstanding small and medium-sized business partners were recognized in 16 categories based on customer feedback, as well as Wolt’s delivery and order data. The event aimed to spotlight those commercial partners whose outstanding service, dedication and innovative solutions contribute to Wolt’s success and have made them customer favorites.

The awards ceremony was held at the Finnish Embassy, where Ambassador Pertti Anttinen emphasized that the Finnish tech company has become an essential player in supporting local businesses. “The flexibility of the platform allows restaurants and entrepreneurs to reach new audiences and grow in a sustainable way,” he noted, adding that the partners’ creativity and adaptability are shaping the future of the industry.

In her speech, Wolt Hungary’s General Manager, Orsolya Hartyányi, reflected on the past seven years:

“Wolt Hungary is celebrating its seventh anniversary this month. We started out from a downtown apartment with just 3–4 passionate colleagues. Today, we manage 1.5 million orders per month, are present in over 110 towns and cities, and work with 11,000 courier partners and more than 6,000 restaurant and retail partners. Our offering ranges from bistros to international grocery chains, electronics stores and baby product retailers – we can deliver practically anything that fits into a courier bag, from Vonyarcvashegy to Kazincbarcika.”
