Analysts: food and durable goods have raised inflation in December
According to a report released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) on Friday, consumer prices were on average 7.4 percent higher than a year earlier in December last year, 0.3 percentage points higher than a month earlier. For the year as a whole, they grew by an average of 5.1 percent over the previous year. Core inflation rose to 6.4 percent in December from 5.3 percent in November. (MTI)
