Analysts: trade surplus exceeded the expectations in June
The growth of the trade surplus in June exceeded the expectations of the analysts. The annual export surplus according to the analysts of the Erste and ING Banks is likely to exceed last year's 6.4 billion euros, the Savings Bank analyst believes that it may jump up to 8.5 billion euros as well.
The Central Statistical Office (KSH) stated on Monday that the foreign trade turnover significantly picked up in June, on the basis of the preliminary data: the euro-denominated value of exports increased by 13.4, and imports increased by 8.9 percent compared with a year before. The trade surplus was 820 million euros in June, 362 million more than in the year before. In the first half of 2015 the export surplus was 4.310 billion euros and grew by 1.103 billion euros, compared with to same period of 2014. Exports grew by 7.9 and imports grew by 5.8 percent – on the basis of the data of the Central Statistical Office (KSH). (MTI)
