Gross earnings of full-time employees grew 8.7 percent year-on-year
According to a report published by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) on Friday, the average gross earnings of full-time employees in March were 8.7 percent higher than a year before.
With inflation calculated at 3.7 percent in March, real earnings were 4.8 percent higher than in March last year. Compared with 9.8 percent in February, the pace of wage growth slowed by 1.1 percentage points as inflation also accelerated. Real wage growth slowed by 1.7 percentage points from 6.5 per cent. (MTI)
