Food & Label Trade Day for the fourth time
On 16 September Ökosys Zrt. and Dr Ágnes Szegedyné Fricz organised the Food & Label Trade Day.

The event’s objective was to provide information to food industry players about current EU and domestic legislative changes and consumer trends. More than 60 participants attended the programme.
Latest domestic and international regulations
Dr Ágnes Szegedyné Fricz, an independent food industry consultant talked about the current status of the preparatory work on international regulations concerning the cross-contamination of allergens and the tasks and obligations of food chain operators.
Krisztina Kovács, head of the food and product path supervision department at the National Food Chain Safety Office (NÉBIH) explained how control tasks within the domestic food chain were divided among the competent authorities.
Dr Béla Rományi, head of the food economy and quality policy department of the Ministry of Agriculture gave detailed information on changes to the Hungarian Food Book.
Dr Blanka Daniella Szilvássy, an expert at NÉBIH gave a presentation on the regulations concerning materials that come into contact with food.

Trends and innovations
Dr Mihály Soós, institute director of the University of Debrecen spoke about consumer trends and consumer confidence.
University professor Dr Andrea Lugasi called attention to the importance of protein intake that meets nutritional needs and the intake of essential amino acids.
Next there was a roundtable discussion that analysed the relationship between consumer trends, development directions and innovations. The participants were Dr Andrea Lugasi, Katalin Péter (sales and marketing manager at Naszálytej Zrt.), István Mikos (CEO of Ceres Zrt.) and Dr. Mihály Soós.
