Biotechnologists at the State Technical University in Samara have begun to develop edible film that can help reduce the amount of waste from traditional plastic packaging. The product they produce is made entirely of natural ingredients, contains no preservatives or dyes, and no process is needed to produce deep chemical changes – the Phys.org portal wrote. (index)
