Simpler dispute resolution via the EU’s online consumer platform
In January, the European Commission launched its online alternative dispute resolution platform, which allows simpler, cheaper and more efficient settlement of international consumer disputes – the DLA Piper international law firm drew attention on Tuesday in its notice sent to MTI.
The European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform is expected to go live on 15 February, which will allow consumers, traders and Alternative Dispute Resolution providers to file, respond to, and handle disputes online.
To encourage the use of ODR, a European ODR platform will be launched to allow consumers, traders and ADR providers to file, respond to, and handle disputes, including disputes where the trader and consumer are in different countries within the EU online. (MTI)
