More and more slaughterhouses are closing in the United States
After several large meat processors, more and more slaughterhouses are closing in the United States due to the coronavirus pandemic – according to a report by the U.S. Public Service Radio (NPR).
One of the largest meat processors, Tyson Foods, announced on Thursday that it will temporarily suspend operations at one of its cattle slaughterhouses in northwestern Washington, due to the epidemic. The company’s plant supplies beef and meat products to about four million American consumers. (Járai Judit, MTI)
