Hungarians drink more and more flavored non-alcoholic and special beers
The value of the retail turnover of beer in Hungary remained unchanged from 2015 to 2016 and decreased by 1 percent in volume. Hungarians purchased beer in a value of 133 billion HUF last year.
The retail sales of beer specialties, craft beers, and alcohol-free flavored beers increased significantly from one year to another, with a growth rate of over 20 percent, according to the Nielsen’s retail index measuring 90 food categories. The retail turnover of the ciders in Hungary increased by 15 percent in value and by 17 percent in volume. (Source: Nielsen)
