Auchan is increasingly driving its customers towards the digital space
This year, October is the month of Trust at Auchan, so anyone who uses Auchan’s new application between October 1 and 30 can benefit especially now. The company is giving 20 million Trust Points, i.e. HUF 20 million, to the first 10,000 users. In addition, during the campaign, the store chain rewards its customers with additional discounts and extra Trust Points. With the month of Trust, Auchan wants to strengthen its sustainability strategy on the one hand, and on the other hand ensure even more discounted shopping.
Auchan has been pursuing a conscious and consistent sustainability strategy for years, the long-term goal of which is to move paper-based communication tools into the digital space. Auchan’s newly released application is an excellent example of this, as it combines several previously separate functions used offline into one online form: for example, the various coupon campaigns or the Loyalty Card, which is loved and used by many. The app called OkAuchan will play a prominent role in October, as the company will give 2,000 Trust Points, i.e. 2,000 HUF, to the first 10,000 downloaders.
By the way, digitalization is not at all foreign to customers, according to the company’s surveys, more than 60% of their customers regularly find out about sales online. While 2 years ago, the applications of commercial chains were at the bottom of the list of information options, by now it is the third most popular form of information for promotions and services, after discount newspapers and newsletters. In addition, with the help of the application, the department store chain can communicate with its customers in a much more direct, personalized way, thus facilitating the search and the preparation of the shopping list.
Customers are not only preparing for the month of trust with the Auchan application, but also with extra trust points and a prize draw, in which the luckiest can win up to the amount of an entire year’s worth of shopping.
