One million kWh of electricity generated with solar panels: with this year’s investments, a total of 100 Coop stores will operate with solar technology

Committed to sustainability, Coop Economic Group has been pursuing its energy-efficient and environmentally conscious investment program for many years. Among the development areas, the installation of solar systems stands out, in the framework of which more than 100 small-scale household power plants will operate this year, with which the chain will produce about 2 percent of its total electricity consumption.

The franchise partners, the Union Coop Zrt. And the North-East Pro-Coop Zrt., which are pioneers in the project, together with their installed systems have reached the annual amount of electricity generated by one million kWh of solar panels. On this occasion, the contractual partner of the Coop Group, the Verdaccio EnergyTeam Energetikai Kft., presented a commemorative plaque and a diploma to the managers of the companies.
