Dietitian: in addition to vegetables and fruits, we also need animal protein
About one-quarter of the daily diet should be animal protein – Antal Emese, a nutritionist told M1 news channel.
The dietitian said that the recommendation was to consume four to five servings a day, about 400 to 500 grams of vegetables and fruits.
However, because of certain vitamins, minerals, you also need to eat meat, dairy products, eggs or fish.
Vitamin B12, for example, is only found in animal products, but iron is much more absorbed from such foods than from plants – she pointed out. (MTI)
