Hungary’s market-leading shoe trading company will also join the chains that will be closed on December 24. About 900 families can be happy with this news.
In recent weeks, DEICHMANN has completed the negotiations with the shopping centers and the lessors of their business premises, which were essential for the announcement of the closure on the 24th. An agreement was reached regarding most of the rental properties, and in the case of the few ongoing negotiations, they fully trust the partnership attitude of the landlords, even if they currently represent different opinions on some points.
“As a family- and people-oriented company, we have been working in recent weeks to ensure that our employees can spend Christmas Eve with their loved ones undisturbed for the first time this year. Although some of our landlords did not support this initiative at first, we nevertheless decided to keep our stores closed on December 24. We are convinced that this step is most in line with the human values that we profess and that we always represent as a responsible company and leader towards our colleagues and their families.”
