Dalí in Vienna: another international success for the Republic Group
An exhibition of Salvador Dalí’s works opened in Vienna under the leadership of the Republic Group agency, revealing the lesser-known side of the world-famous artist. The agency was tasked with planning and executing 360-degree integrated communication, this time on the Austrian market.
The independent Budapest advertising agency Republic Group, which has been operating for 28 years, has reached another milestone in its international expansion. During their three-year collaboration with Hadran events, they have already handled the communication tasks of several exhibitions in Budapest, from PPC campaigns to media buying, PR and social media management, including event organization. Now, however, the fruits of their joint work are also visible in Vienna: the exhibition “Salvador Dalí – Journey in the Imagination of a Brilliant Mind” opened on June 3rd at Studio F in Vienna.
The exhibition features more than 150 lesser-known works by Salvador Dalí, including bronze, gold and glass sculptures, surrealist furniture and graphics on literary and mythological themes. The works come from the Dalí Universe collection, which was created more than 45 years ago by Beniamino Levi, an Italian art dealer and close associate of the artist. The special feature of the exhibition is a virtual reality experience that guides visitors into Dalí’s dreamlike world.
Tamás Barna, founder and director of international expansion of Republic Group, said: “I am proud that after last year’s BrandFestival in Berlin, another foreign project could be realized under the leadership of Republic – and this is just the beginning. We are working to realize more similar international projects in the near future.”
The opening event in Vienna was attended by prominent Austrian media personalities, television channels and members of the local art scene.
