Sándor Czomba: the number of job seekers has never been so low
The number of registered jobseekers is at a thirty-year low, this data has never been so low, which means that a significant number of people are looking for and finding work – said the State Secretary responsible for employment policy of the Ministry of National Economy in the current morning program of the M1 channel on Wednesday morning.
Sándor Czomba said: the number of employed people in March was 4,723,000, which is more than 30,000 more than last March’s figure.
Although employment and unemployment are increasing at the same time, the latter shows that the previously inactive are also appearing on the labor market, i.e. their economic activity is increasing. Roughly 64,000 people appeared as job seekers in one year, half of them were able to find a job, but we “now see” the 30,000-32,000 people who are currently unemployed, that is, we can help them with various means, explained the state secretary.
