Sugar Shortage in Venezuela
The Coca-Cola Femsa SAB, Coca-Cola’ bottler in Latin America has suspended the production of soft drinks in Venezuela due to the shortage of sugar – tozsdeforum.hu wrote.
Company spokeswoman says sugar suppliers have temporarily stopped operations ‘due to a lack of raw materials’ as country grapples with recession. Production of sugar-sweetened drinks has stopped, but output of diet drinks such as Coca-Cola Light and other zero-sugar beverages has continued, spokeswoman Kerry Tressler told.
