By now the CSR Hungary Award programme has grown into an effective and recognised platform for sharing best practices, benchmarking and learning from each other. It is an annual opportunity for organisations to build trust and awareness among stakeholders.
“It is also a measure of success for us that the CSR Hungary Award, which has existed since 2006, is becoming increasingly popular among companies and institutions. This contributes to the spreading of corporate sustainability and responsibility in Hungary, and to the integration of these principles into the company’s DNA. Today CSR Hungary can assist firms and institutions with a complex portfolio of mutually reinforcing elements”,
says Júlia Takács, CEO and co-founder of CSR Hungary.

Trade magazin Special Awards
This year K&H Bank’s CO2 calculator for agriculture won the special award of Trade magazin, together with Lidl Magyarország’s On the Road to the Future – SzelektálOK campaign.
K&H’s calculator shows the emissions of a given farm relying on its own production data and international statistics of the sector. The calculator supports both business awareness and sustainable operations.

Lidl Magyarország’s comprehensive SzelektálOK campaign was launched in 2023 and helps consumers to acquire as much information as possible on how to do selective waste collection. “We look forward to many more joint competitions with CSR Hungary in the future. Congratulations to all the winners”, said Zsuzsanna Hermann, CEO and editor-in-chief of Trade magazin.

BKIK Special Award
• AUCHAN Magyarország
The Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BKIK) believes: it is important to set good examples for entrepreneurs. Auchan has demonstrated a consistent strategy in the field of sustainable operations since 2019 and this is the reason why BKIK awarded the company the special prize for the non-Budapest-based award winner. Auchan first introduced a cardboard shopping box and later alternative packaging. By eliminating plastic, the company can save 172 tonnes of plastic per year. Auchan is committed to supporting local communities and promoting healthy eating, and in recent years has launched several such initiatives and supported the Auchan Foundation. In its collaboration with the Hungarian Food Bank Association and the Hungarian Red Cross, Auchan takes unsold, but still high quality food to people in need.
