GLS General Logistics System Hungary Csomag-Logisztikai Kft. intends to increase the number of its partners doing deliveries from 130 to 350 in 2007 and to 750 in 2008. They hope to achieve a 20-30 per cent increase in turnover by the end of their next business year. Their market share was around 10 per cent last year. The company has 100 employees and 500 sub-contractors, with 350 delivery vehicles. They intend to spread the shop-in-shop system, enabling people to dispatch packages even from their local grocery. Lottery tickets and phone cards have long been available in this system and groceries can handle up to 10-15 kinds of services. The introduction of the shop-in-shop system in Hungary will be an Eastern European trial operation. GLS General Logistics Systems Hungary Kft. is the Hungarian subsidiary of General Logistics Systems B.V., Amsterdam (GLS), a pan-European company present in 34 countries.
