The production of hard-shell fruits is declining
The representatives of the Hard-Shell Fruit Committee of FEPEX (the main associations of producers and distributors in Spain), confirmed that this year’s production will decrease by at least 15% compared to last year – agrarszektor.hu wrote. This is an issue of widespread concern throughout Europe, as declines are also expected in other countries, such as in Italy or France.
In autonomous regions where the season is already in full swing, such as Andalusia and Murcia, and where harvesting is just beginning, such as Extremadura, it has already been confirmed that quantities will be lower than last year – the National Chamber of Agriculture (NAK) wrote. (agrarszektor.hu)
