Nespresso’s capsules to be recycled in Csepel
As part of the “The Positive Cup” sustainability strategy implemented with a 500 million CHF investment worldwide, the Nespresso can report about a significant capsules recycling program in Hungary.
The collected used capsules are recycled in the Csepel plant of the Inter-Metal Recycling Kft.. At the end of the process pure aluminum can be recovered. The coffee is utilized to generate electricity in power plants, while a snow shovel is made from the pouch. Nespresso is working for over 20 years to ensure that in addition to the common value creation to provide sustainability through concrete actions and results throughout the entire chain.
