Camelicious: Camel milk – the white gold of the desert
The world’s biggest camel milk farm and processing plant can be found in Dubai. There are more than 8,000 camels in the company’s herd and the products they make are special, because camel milk has exceptional characteristics, e.g. it contains lots of unsaturated and long chain fatty acids, vitamin C, iron, plus other vitamins and minerals. Its structure is more like that of mother’s milk than like cow milk’s. Camel milk has lots of protective proteins, immunoglobulin and non-specific protective proteins such us lysozyme, lactoferrin, etc. – these play an important role in protecting us from bacteria. //
