Brutal product fee increase coming in July
From 1 July, the product fee for plastic bags used in shops will increase brutally, at the same time as the government decree aimed at transience of the so-called SUP single-use plastics DIRECTIVE into domestic law comes into force. ‘Both measures encourage the reduction of plastic waste and, due to the proximity of the deadline, stakeholders should immediately start reviewing compliance and introducing the necessary measures’. warned Judit Jancsa-Baker, senior advisor and partner at LeitnerLeitner.
