The company acquisition market expanded in the first half of the year
The Hungarian market for corporate acquisitions and mergers reached nearly 980 million USD in the first half of the year, which is a 12 percent increase over the same period of 2016 – the EY Magyarország informed MTI on Thursday. The domestic company acquisition market has closed the most successful first half of the year since the first six months of 2011.
The M & A Barometer, published every six months reveals that in the last six months, a total of 66 transactions were completed compared to the 64 acquisitions in the first half of last year.
The biggest activity was in the real estate sector, with a total of 16 sales being closed. This followed the food industry with ten transactions.
Significant change is that the average value of transactions under 100 million USD has increased significantly, compared to the previous year. (MTI)
