Deliveroo has expanded its partnership with food saving app, Too Good To Go across four new cities in a bid to help thousands of people reduce food waste.
Following the collaborations successful trial in Battersea, the initiative which allows shoppers to purchase £15 worth of food which is nearing its sell-by date for £5, will now be available in Cambridge, Bristol, Brighton and Manchester.
The ‘Magic Bag’ which features a range of surplus fresh food such as fruit, vegetables, store cupboard staples and ready meals from the companies grocery partners including Morrisons, can be ordered via the Too Good To Go app and picked up from a ‘Deliveroo HOP’ site.
This extended roll out comes as the partnership looks to combat food waste and make sustainable food options more accessible at a lower cost.
Too Good To Go managing director UK & Ireland, Sophie Truman added: “Too Good To Go is all about reducing food waste and in doing so, enabling people to access quality food in a more affordable way, and in a way that does right by our planet too. We’re proud to have Deliveroo on board and joining us in the fight against food waste, and I can’t wait to see the continued impact of our partnership in the coming weeks, months and years ahead.”
