They emphasized that the demand for sustainably produced and organic products is increasing. Organic farmers use small doses of chemical sprays and plant cleaners – for example copper sulfate active agents – but their ingredients are neither sustainably produced nor “bio”, and the effectiveness of natural-based agents often falls short of what is desired. Chili Produkt Kft. has therefore developed a solution with which the damage caused by individual insect pests can be significantly reduced or even completely avoided.
The company makes an essential oil mixture from raw materials that are harmless to humans – even consumed in food
During the critical period – for example, when the apple moth is swarming or laying eggs – they hide the target plant from insects that primarily use smells to find their way around. By diluting with water, end-users can produce a biospray that can be applied to crops from the appropriate mixtures with auxiliary materials – which ensure adhesion, among other things. Chili Produkt Kft., founded in 2009, deals with the production and wholesale of paprika powder, spices and dried vegetables, spice mixes, food industry raw materials. In addition to ready-made products, the company develops unique, complex mixtures, and its customers include domestic and foreign food producers and gastronomic enterprises. According to publicly available company data, Chili Produkt Kft., which is directly and indirectly owned by Hungarian individuals and employs 44 employees, had a net sales revenue of HUF 2.5 billion last year, which was 48 percent higher than in 2021. The company achieved a taxable profit of HUF 228 million in 2021, and HUF 180 million last year.
