Csíki Sör’s Original Székely Bear Trutyi was banned
In addition to the large fine, the Kovászna County Consumer Protection Authority also proposed the withdrawal of canned bear dung sold under the name Eredeti Székely Medve Trutyi from commercial circulation, the head of the authority, Mircea Diacon, told We Radio in Sepsiszentgyörgy. According to Diacon, the related decision could be made in the next few days, and if the manufacturing company does not apply the decision made during the official procedure, it risks the suspension of its activities for up to 6 months.
Xindex Eco Kft., registered in Hargita county, was fined 40,000 lei (approximately 8,200 euros) by consumer protection for deceptive commercial practices. The head of the consumer protection authority said in a statement on Thursday that Xindex Eco Kft., which has a workplace in Málnás but is registered in Csíkszentmárton, was fined for the production of the product. The product is distributed by Lixid Project Kft., the manufacturer of Csíki Beer, registered in Csíkszentsimon, and although the Hargita county consumer protection office also inspected this company, they were not penalized because they do not manufacture the product.
