The product not only offers a new taste experience, but also plays a prominent role in strengthening the iconic KitKat brand. KitKat cereal evokes the classic wafer taste and cocoa flavour, making the product unique among breakfast cereals.
“Already in the early autumn, we had promotions where KitKat performed better in sales than our biggest domestic cereal brands such as Cini Minis, Chocapic, Nesquik, and we also see that we can bring new consumers into the breakfast cereal category through the brand awareness of KitKat”, says Tamás Simonics, head of the cereals business unit at Nestlé Hungária Kft. Next year the company plans to launch an XL format to increase distribution of the new product, and to better adapt to the larger pack size trend of recent years.(x)
