Say hello to the PICK brand team: Renewal is our tradition
PICK has been a part of the lives of Hungarians for more than 150 years. Who nurture and develop one of the top Hungarian brands? An 8-member team of brand and product managers and communication specialists, which is led by Júlia Szokolai, head of marketing and strategy. She reckons that it is a great responsibility to preserve this great value for future generations by building on the long tradition, at the same time constantly looking for opportunities for renewal.
From the 1st quarter of 2022 PICK salamis are available in shops with a new packaging design. We learned from product manager Zsuzsanna Balogné Harkai that the new design seeks to differentiate PICK products from those of the competitors, and at the same time educates consumers about the most important product benefits. Plus as a responsible company, PICK has been reducing the plastic content of packaging for years. The new design has 14% less plastic, but the product volume didn’t get smaller.
Senior brand manager Henriett Szabó-Spanyol explained that Renewal is our tradition, the new slogan for the current campaign tells how important innovation has been throughout the more than 150-year history of PICK. Péter Fejes, group brand manager of PICK added that a renewal on this scale is a brave step, but they believe that educating consumers pays off in the long run. The new campaign starts in mid-March, on television, online, in social media and outdoor. (x)
