A government decree obliges food retail stores with a sales revenue exceeding HUF one billion in 2021 to introduce a weekly discount of 15% in twenty product groups until December 31, 2023. However, SPAR expanded the range of possible discounts right from the start and offered discounts of up to 20-40% for many products, according to the SPAR announcement.
