Thirty-one ice creams competed from the Lake Balaton region, which clearly demonstrates the contest’s growing role in community building. The competition took place on board the new ferry between Szántód and Tihany. Ice creams made from natural local ingredients were given preference in the professional jury’s evaluation. This year’s winner was an ice cream made with goat’s cheese called “Mekkóstollak” by Anna Penovác, Roland Tremmer and Zsófi Hakkel, from Füge Fagyiudvar és Kávézó in Veszprém. /
