Baker McKenzie: It is easier to give jobs to Ukrainian refugees
The employment of war refugees from Ukraine is in some cases easier in Hungary, and companies can also receive support after the workers, says Baker McKenzie, an international law firm that assists the Maltese Charity Service with pro bono employment law advice on the refugee situation.
The Russian armed invasion, which began on February 24, has forced masses to leave Ukraine. According to a decision of the Council of the European Union, EU member states are obliged to provide temporary protection for refugees.
Ukrainian citizens and their family members fleeing the territory of Ukraine, as well as stateless persons and persons previously recognized as refugees by Ukraine, may apply for temporary protection, ie refugee status, after entering the territory of Hungary.
