Unilever invests 1 billion euros in a clean future to remove petrochemicals from its cleaning and detergents by 2030
The 1 billion euros investment of the Clean Future program will completely remove fossil chemicals from Unilever’s cleaning and detergents by 2030, creating new opportunities to reduce CO2 emissions.
This investment will finance research, development and innovation of chemical processes for the circular production of detergents.
Unilever is urging other companies to adopt the new Carbon Rainbow approach, which explores the diversity of carbon sources and supports the transition to renewable and recycled coal from plant, atmospheric and marine sources, as well as from waste.
