Parliament passes 2023 budget
Hungary’s parliament on Tuesday passed the government’s draft budget for 2023, with 135 votes in favour and 54 votes against.
The voted unified proposal deals
- with economic growth of 4.1 percent,
- with a deficit target of 3.5 percent of GDP,
- with the national debt falling from the expected 76.1 percent of the gross domestic product at the end of 2022 to 73.8 percent,
- and expects inflation of 5.2 percent.
