The role of online commerce data assets is being investigated by the competition authority
The Hungarian Competition Authority (GVH) is launching a market analysis to explore how the data assets of online retailers are created and what role it plays in competition between online stores. The survey also covers how consumers are aware of the data collection and how it influences their decisions, the agency told MTI on Wednesday.
According to them, the fear caused by the coronavirus pandemic and access restrictions have significantly increased the role of online commerce. Consumers have also tried what it’s like to buy from the comfort and safety of their home who have never been before. This change may also transform consumer habits in the long run, increasing the role of online commerce. The GVH therefore assesses the operation of the sector and typical consumer behavior with a market analysis.
The results of the market analysis are summarized in the GVH study and published on its website. (MTI)
