Demand shifted towards cheaper gift packages
In the 2009 and 2010 seasons retail sales of gift packages containing body lotions and other cosmetics products were around HUF 3 billion. In the last season values sales dropped 2 percent and volume sales gained 1 percent – compared with the situation a year earlier. Last November-December the market shifted towards packages below the HUF 1,000 price level: their market share grew from 24 to 30 percent.
