The NGM and the MNB are expecting a GDP growth of around 4 percent in 2017
The Ministry of National Economy (NGM) and the National Bank of Hungary (MNB) expect a GDP growth of around 4 percent in 2017.
At the Central and Eastern European Forum (2018) of the Euromoney Economic Magazine in Vienna, Hornung Ágnes, Minister of State of the Ministry of National Economy (NGM) responsible for Finance affairs said that last year’s growth rate was expected to reach 4.1 percent , which could accelerate to 4.3 percent this year. According to NGM’s forecast, the general government deficit is expected to fall to 2 percent of the GDP, according to EU standards, opposed to the government’s initially planned 2.4 percent. (MTI)
