MVI is once again among the TOP10 most influential professional organizations
The Hungarian Catering Industry Association (MVI) was once again included in the TOP10 list of the most influential professional organizations in the field of tourism in 2025. The recognition was announced on February 1 at the Tourism Season Opening Gala.
The MVI actively represented the catering sector in 2024: it sent a package of proposals to the Ministry of Tourism, negotiated with the Ministry of Education and Culture regarding the redemption fee system, cooperated with the MTÜ in regulating the tip and service fee, and commented on the draft annual fee schedule of Artisjus. Furthermore, the inn was included in the Sectoral Value Database, a professional conference was organized at the SIRHA Budapest exhibition, and they also contributed to several gastronomic events.
The “Restaurant of the Year” award was given to Zoltán Erhardt in 2024, while the Károly Gundel Award was received by Attila Bicsár and Lázár Kovács.
