MVI condemns unfair business attitude
In a statement, the Hungarian Hospitality Industry Association distances itself from what happened in the Hajós utca bar and any method of stealing from tourists, and calls on the competent authorities to take decisive action.

MVI condemns unfair behavior
“As the representative organization of SMEs operating in the hospitality industry, the Hungarian Hospitality Industry Board considers the legal, fair operation and the provision of quality services to be of the utmost importance. In view of this, it distances itself and deeply condemns the demeaning methods of the Hajós Street bar that took place in the past few days, just as the hospitality community also rejects. immoral and dishonest business behavior tarnishes the reputation of honest entrepreneurs, damages the perception of Hungarian hospitality and the sense of security of foreign tourists visiting our country.
In order to curb this, we are also asking the competent authorities to filter out shops that operate in a similar way with firm action and targeted inspections, and to prohibit them from further illegal behavior. Everything must be done to ensure that foreign guests who choose Budapest and Hungary after the crisis caused by the coronavirus epidemic continue to have positive culinary experiences during their visits”.
