The MNB has raised its inflation forecast for this year to 5.1 percent
The central bank has raised its inflation forecast for this year to 5.1 percent and lowered its GDP expectation to 6.3 – 6.5 percent, according to key figures in its latest Inflation Report.
The previous September Inflation Report included inflation of 4.6-4.7 percent this year and an expectation of 6.5-7.0 percent of GDP.
The MNB still expects that the rise in consumer prices will start to decline from 2022, with inflation likely to be 4.7-5.1 percent next year and 2.5-3.5 percent in 2023 and 2024, according to the latest forecast. (MTI)
