In the gastronomy of the modern world, sous vide is in the same situation everywhere: some adore it, while others do not want to use this method. This cooking method helps cooks to preserve the taste of base materials – if equipment was cheaper more people would use sous vide technology. In the United States a 29x36x29-cm device called SousVide Supreme appeared on the market, at the rather modest price of USD 450.
